About me
Hello, I'm Jo, the Director of Messy Minds Consulting. With over 25 years’ experience in the financial services sector, I've been privileged to hold senior leadership positions and have driven success in this dynamic industry. But my journey hasn't been without its challenges.
As a child I faced constant criticism at school and started work at 16. Despite excelling in some areas, I struggled with tasks that others seemed to find simple. I was always left to wonder why certain things were so difficult for me, but I could excel in anything that I was interested in.
It wasn't until I was 47 that I was diagnosed with ADHD. This diagnosis was a turning point in my life, leading me on a path of self-discovery and understanding. I realised that my brain simply worked differently, and that what I had once seen as weaknesses were unique strengths.
My journey inspired me to found Messy Minds Consulting. My mission is to help individuals with ADHD unlock their full potential. Using a coaching framework designed specifically for people with ADHD I run an 8-week coaching programme, aimed at senior leaders, Board Directors and entrepreneurs.
Did you know that individuals with ADHD often experience a 30% delay in executive function? This can make organisation, time management, and task completion more challenging. However, this doesn't mean we can't excel. In fact, people with ADHD have incredible strengths —creativity, hyperfocus, problem-solving skills, and an ability to think outside the box, not to mention being fantastic leaders of people.
Through Messy Minds I offer specialised coaching services designed to help leverage these strengths. I work closely with individuals to create supportive environments that foster growth, innovation, and productivity.
The Messy Minds coaching programme is tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual, providing practical strategies and tools for success. By embracing your neurodiversity, you can achieve greater creativity, innovation, and competitive advantage. Understanding yourself unlocks the ability to address your development areas in a positive way and allows you to maximise your strengths.
