Our CPD‑accredited Making Sense of Yourself programme gives you everything you need to begin coaching using the Messy Minds Programme. Once you’ve completed and passed this stage, you’re fully equipped to start coaching, and then you can decide whether you want to progress to the ILM Level 5.
You don’t need prior coaching experience.
You don’t need a specific professional background.
You just need the desire to support people well.

If you want a formal, academically recognised qualification, you can continue into our tailored ILM Level 5 in Coaching.
This route is completely optional — but it’s there for those who want deeper recognition, credibility, and a qualification that stands up anywhere.

For those who want to take their training further, the Academy offers an optional progression route to the ILM Level 5 in Coaching, a tailored ILM5 pathway focused specifically on neurodivergent coaching.
Your Messy Minds Academy assessment, once achieved, counts as your first ILM5 assignment.
This Recognising Prior Learning route is unique to Messy Minds, you cannot get this anywhere else.
